We had been using this model for about 10 years when it finally died. It performed all it’s functions so well, we wanted to replace it with the same thing. The big box office stores don’t carry these models any longer so I looked on line and was happy to find out we could get the same printer again.The order went flawlessly, it shipped right away and we had it up and running within about 5 days. No warm up.
No head cleaning.
No dried up ink.
No expired ink cartridges (HP!)
No putzing around.
Just %$^#%$ prints.Best printer I've ever had. The 24 pin version (ML 420) prints almost as perfectly as a laser, great for business letters or resumes.One big plus - ribbons last almost forever, and cost $4. (Unlike my epson, lol!

I purchased this pricey dot matrix printer five months ago to print book labels for our church library. Sometimes it works without a glitch and other times I have to keep experimenting to find a way to make it work. I waste labels and time whenever it doesn’t perform correctly. My old Okidata was great, but it finally gave out, forcing me to find a replacement.

If you are needing this printer for labels, be sure you follow the instructions carefully. Also, I have found it helps to quit my library program and unplug and replug the printer before I even try to print. It is frustrating. There just don’t seem to be that many good dot matrix printers available for printing labels.

Got this as a present for my brother. He seems to really like it! It does not have much storage room though, so it will not be the best wallet for someone with a lot of credit cards.

Finally had to replace my old (15+ years) Epson dot matrix printer. I purchased this model for function and price. I only print my personal checks on it so I expect it to last another 15 years. Set up was easy and printing is super fast. Works great, looks great and not too big a footprint.

Because our buisness must print forms in triplicate, we have to use dot matrix printers. These Epsons last for many years. We have 6 that run almost contantly. When something does break after the printer is very old and worn out, it is cosmetic and the printer just keeps on printing.

I need a new machine to replace one that was giving me problems. When I checked a repaire shop about it, I was told that it would probably cost as much to fix as replace. So the option to replace it was sought. Amazon had the replacement and it does the job.

This printer is perfect for my office. I have to print 2 part, pin-fed checks for 3 hotels and the printer handles them with ease. I would have given it 5 stars, but I have to reset the top of form every time I want to print. It is a pain in the neck, but since everything else works great, I will continue to reset it.

there’s not much to say about a dot-matrix printer. for a business using multi-part invoices, they are just about the only option. the oki is fast and reliable, what more do you need?

I work for a small non-profit that has been moving to scan and pitch as much paper as possible. We use network scanners, and they only scan to one predesignated folder. Before DymoFile I had to scan, return to my computer and find the scanned file, rename it to an appropriate name, and cut and paste it into the folder in which I wanted to store it long term. With DymoFile, I choose a name and location before I ever go to the scanner. If I have several documents, I can assign them names and locations and scan then all as one stack. Dymofile prints a piece of paper with a bar code for each document stack. After the scanning, the softwae monitors the target folder for the scanner and when it sees a bar code, it moves the file to the appropriate folder with the name I gave it. No muss, no fuss. You do end up printing paper that just gets pitched. But you don’t have to think about the process. In the past, i would scan files and then get busy with other things, finding the files a couple of days later when I looked in the scan folder. Now everything is taken care of once the scanning is done. The professional version of DymoFile is only for those who do more than 5000 images a month. There is a cheaper Office edition that limits you to 5000 images or less each month. Great Product, Higly recommended..
